Press about the music.

The music on guitarist Yves Nadeau's album in which the improvisation, spontaneity and the interaction between the musicians occupy a significant place is influenced and inspired by musical currents as various as Jazz, Folk, Rock, R&B, Quebequois Folklore and Afro-Cuban, featuring world renown musicians like bass player Alain Caron, drummer Paul Brochu and seven more musicians.

"Nadeau's virtuosity and thorough knowledge of his instrument are surprising and, combined with his great agility and solid technique, they have earned him a place among the most spectacular and sophisticated jazz guitarists of the time."

Luc Proulx, la Voix des Mille-Iles April 23, 2003

"Yves Nadeau is clearly one of the greatest exponents of contemporary electric guitar, no matter what the style. For this recording, he recruited some of the biggest names on the Montreal jazz scene, including Alain Caron and Paul Brochu (both formerly with UZEB) as well as Jean-Pierre Zanella. By offering each of them "custom-designed" spaces for musical expression that highlight their respective instrumental skills, Nadeau has drawn maximum efficiency from his crew of talented partners. The result: eleven warmly coloured multicultural tableaux, painted on a modern jazz canvas. Though he occasionally indulges in virtuoso fretboard fireworks likely to discourage at least one amateur axe-wielder out there, Nadeau maintains an overall level of musicality that bespeaks a mature player. There are even two tracks featuring a traditional fiddler, which makes for a fascinating mix of jazz and Quebecois folk music. This album is further proof that the Quebec jazz scene is alive and quite well, thank you very much."
