In 2009, Wendy performed with reclusive legendary cult figure Jandek in Vancouver: “Wendy Atkinson filled out the growing wall of sound with sustained bass notes, establishing anadmirably minimal presence throughout the 11-song performance, even when she was dragging a knife across her strings during the stormy fourth number.” – Georgia Straight (Vancouver)

Her duo, Horde of Two (formed with David Lester of Mecca Normal) released their first album, Guitar & Bass Actions in 2009: “…one of the most intriguing instrumental albums of the last few years. Her spoken-word piece “Summer BBQ” from Pink Noise was featured on the Deep Wireless 5: Radio Art Compilation, released by NAISA (New Adventures in Sound Art, 2008) inToronto.

Pink Noise (2007), her second solo bass-only album, was recorded on an analog 4-track. Pink Noise has charted on college radio stations across North America and been reviewed bypublications in Canada, US, China and Germany. Pink Noise was alsofeatured on CBC radio’s The Signal.

She was twice selected for Art in the Air, an international audio art festival in New Brunswick. Hermusic was included in Sonic Landscapes (2006), a sound art exhibit held in Michigan, along with Mecca Normal and Lee Ranaldo of SonicYouth.

Wendy's debut album Trim (2003) also charted on North American college radio and was featured nationally in Canada on CBC radio's Brave New Waves.
