Band "Volchiy Ostrog" was established in the city of Samara (Russia) in September 2008.
Its originators were D. Bubochkin and D. Trebunskih responsible for the musical and ideological part in the first years of band existence.

Initially, the team identified two main areas of creative activity: the search for a unique sound and continuous professional growth.

In the first year the musicians were written the songs. In a short time these songs were included in the EP album, called "Skoro rassvet...".

This mini-album was created in parallel with quite an active concert activity of the band.

The album failed to disclose the music style concept of the band, but showed the team spirit and revealed the basis of the lyrics.

it praises the glorious exploits of the heroes of the Russian land and the beauty of the surrounding native nature, and is reflected zeal for the divine freedom in the eternal confrontation.

After two years of hard work, it became clear that the group in this consist began to falter. And then was made first, and not last a difficult decision.Y. Buzaev – singer – left the band.

To record the first full-length album attracted new member L. Blagoderov. But, unfortunately, his permanent health problems, missing rehearsals and recording sessions as were the reasons for parting with him.

In 2011 the D. Bubochkin becomes singer of the band, and on the place of bass player was adopted session musician S. Raslivanov.

He helped the group in its difficult period, playing on a concerts, and after joining A. Mateyko made an invaluable contribution to the recording of the second full-length album "K ognyu otchuzhdeniya" as a sound engineer,

and was marked as a bass player on a few tracks.

Today "Volchiy Ostrog" doesn’t stop on achieved and preparing new material for the next album, what will it be - it's hard to say. But, for sure it will be something new both for the group and for fans.
