VOICELESS VOID was founded by guitarist / vocalist Roman "Boss" Netrebenko in early 1993, at the same time a debut demo entitled "Symphony of pain" was recorded, but constant line-up changes prevented any results from being achieved.
By the fall of 1997, after Anton Gubanov and Sergei Bokarev, ex-members of the LEFT BANK trash project, joined the group, as well as Boss's longtime acquaintance, Yevgeny Grafov, the group had stabilized:
* Roman "Boss" Netrebenko - guitar / vocals
* Evgeny Grafov - bass
* Sergey Bokarev - guitar
* Anton Gubanov - drums.
In this line-up in December 97 - March 98 at the studio of the bass-guitarist of the group HEAVY DAY Alexander Bobkov, the group's debut album entitled "Symphony of pain" was recorded. The material of the album is kept in the traditions of classical doom-gothic such as Candlemass and Paradise Lost, although in terms of lyrics the group does not adhere to the canons of the genre, gravitating more towards social themes. The recording of the album was attended by the keyboardist and vocalist Rita Tikhomirova, who left the group at the end of the recording. The album received good reviews, but due to the lack of elementary promotion, it did not receive wide distribution.
From mid-1998 to the end of 2000, the group has been actively giving concerts, playing on the same venues with the iconic Moscow bands Butterfly Temple, Nordream, Satarial, Shadow Host and others. In the spring of 1999, a permanent keyboardist Olga appeared in the group, and with her arrival the group's concert sound acquired the power that the group's fans know from its studio sound.
In early 2000, the band began recording their second album.
At the end of 2000, Evgeny Grafov left the group, he was replaced within a year by the ex-participant of the Walpurgis Night death project Aleksey, but at the end of 2001 he also left the group.
At the beginning of 2002 Dmitry "MeG" Agafonov, founder of the ambient project "Lost in Reverie", appeared in Voiceless Void as a bass-guitarist.
In the middle of 2002 the band finished the recording of the second album, which is called "Content of human being" and differs significantly from the first album. It is on the album "Content of human being" that the band has its own signature sound and style. In autumn 2002 Sergey Bokarev left the group and his place in the group was taken by Max Agafonov (ex-Parallel), who took part in the recording of the guitar parts for the album "Content of human being". In addition to him, Rita Tikhomirova took part in the recording of the album as a backing vocalist.
By the middle of 2003, the renewed line-up of the group is completing the preparation of a full-fledged concert program and begins preparations for the release of the album. The promo "Content of human being", sent to leading record companies and music publications, received positive reviews and at the end of 2003, with the support of the "VVM Records" company (DIY label), the group's second album was widely released, at the same time the group began recording the third studio album tentatively titled "Vampire - Another Side Of Death".
In the work on the new album, in addition to their own musicians, guests are participating - super-vocalist Abrey (Velvet Orchestra, Butterfly Temple) and former VOICELESS VOID member Sergei Bokarev, now playing in the iconic Moscow Legion line-up.
In the spring of 2004, the group takes part in several music festivals, at the same time a permanent vocalist Nika appears in the group, who takes an active part in writing the lyrics for the new album.
In the fall of 2004, Max Agafonov leaves the group and is replaced by Anton Platonov, who had not been seen in any projects before, with him the group finishes recording the third album, which is scheduled for release in May 2005.
At the beginning of autumn 2005 the group signed an agreement for the release of their third album with the Moscow company "Sound Age Production" and at the end of October 2005 the album "Vampire - Another Side of Death" is widely released in Russia, the countries of near and far abroad. At the same time, in support of the released album, the group is actively giving concerts with such bands as Forgive Me Not, Melancholy, Ens Cogitans, Inside You, Forest Stream, Deceptive, Sopor and others.
From the beginning of 2006 to the fall of 2007, constant changes of keyboards began in the group, at this time three different keyboards were playing in the group at different times, but in the fall of 2007 the original keyboardist Olga "KeyMaster" returned to the group (on a session basis), with whom the 2nd and 3rd albums of the collective were recorded.
At the beginning of 2007 Dmitry "MeG" Agafonov left the group. He makes this decision in connection with the desire to devote more time to the family and raising his son. In early spring 2007, his place was taken by the new bass player Alexei Shubenko. By the end of the 2006-2007 concert season, Anton Platonov and Nika left the group due to creative differences. Despite the problems with the line-up, the group continues to be active in concert and begins work on a new album.
In the summer of 2007 vocalist Katerina "Lermacht" and guitarist Arthur joined the group. At the end of summer 2007, the group loses its drummer, but decides not to stop concert activity, using studio drum tracks at concerts.
In February 2008 keyboardist Sergei "S57G57" joined the group, having experience playing in Moscow melodic metal bands.

In the fall of 2009, for subjective reasons, the group parted ways with vocalist Katerina “Lermacht”, and Olga Salikhova, known for her participation in the Octagon, Luna Aeterna and Slavery bands, came to her place.
The group continues to actively give concerts, including in the first half of 2010 opening Moscow concerts of Draconian (SWE), Reflexion (FIN),Xandria (GER) and Crematory (GER).
In the fall of 2010, the group signed a contract for the release of a new disc with the label MAZZAR Records, the disc will be released in the second half of November.
