Originally based in Canberra, the city of dreams, Valleys formed in 2010 after Al and Charlie began recording as a duo with sound engineer, Sam Brumby, who then went on to became the band’s drummer, manager and recording engineer.
For the next two years, Valleys survived long-distance relationships which saw band practice become a bi-annual, and fairly messy, affair. In April 2012 they headed for the coast and recorded their first extended play, entitled 'Costero'. Now miraculously all based in Sydney, Valleys have had more than 2 practice sessions in the last year (a new band record) and are continuing to write songs that sound nothing like each other.
