under[base] is a german Alternative/Industrial Rock/Metalband, active since 2008.
The debut-album 'A lifetime for one moment' was released in september 2011 and is sold worlwide via FIXT Records and New music distribution in Europe. The critics were overall positive. Reflections of Darness wrote:

"The debut album of young but promising German formation UNDER[BASE] implements almost all modern music tendencies and the best influences of metal scene of the past years. The musicians definitely don’t want to limit themselves to playing just alternative industrial and try to add a bit of Electronica, American hardcore, so home Darkwave to create an intricate yet unobtrusive cocktail that surprisingly doesn’t remind anything else. Listening to such music I even don’t want to compare UNDER[BASE] with other bands of the kind. The album sounds fresh and unique.

The audience of listeners can be absolutely different: the release may be interesting for sophisticated music lovers, obstinate fans of industrial or alternative and of course, for those who like German dark scene. The band proves that they can make real hits. Each song has its own peculiar melodic line, and the vocals seem to be quite diverse and expressive reflecting all the tinges of emotions depending on the song. The album is free of rigid industrial effects like sounds of pick hammers or speeches of presidents, distorted by noises of near-by factories. The musicians have a wonderful sense of harmony and don’t show off to the detriment of lyricism. All in all everything is just great. So keep it up!"

The 2nd Album is planned to be released in Fall 2014 on Danse Macabre Records.

under[base] Founder Dominic Valecillo already played on venues with Bands like Tool, Exilia, 69 Eyes or Skinny Puppy. under[base] itself directly supported Bands like 'Ektomorf', 'Julien K' and 'Hanzel und Gretyl' on their 'Born to be heiled Tour' in 2013.
