The ambitious acoustic trio Twi the Humble Feather (pronounced twy, not twee) make a hypnotic swirl of indie pop and lo-fi folk.
Filled with vocal rounds, staccato fingerpicking, droning bells, and handmade percussion, the group commonly draws comparisons to Animal Collective. Anthony Lebron, a classically trained guitarist, started Twi the Humble Feather as a bedroom recording project in New York, and paired up with experimental musicians Bryan Doring and Hektor Fontanex. After a few years of recording, and touring intermittently in and around Brooklyn, the group released its first album, Music for Spaceships and Forests, in 2009. ~ Jason Lymangrover
