Dave wanted to put together a group of musicians that had the same passion for 80's Heavy Metal Hair Band music as he does. So the call went out in Virginia Beach Virginia for like minded musicians. Dave found a Drummer, Jack Shoemaker who has the same love of the 80's Heavy metal music and skills to match. Long time friend at the time Tim Talbert (Guitarist also joined). Dave had connected with Bassist George some time before the call went out for members for Thunder 80 and took some time to get back in touch but in a couple months of searching to reconnect George came on board to finish out the core of Thunder 80. Other members have come and gone and special thanks to Vocalist and Keyboardist Allen Alura for his time with Thunder 80.

In Early 2011 Dave moved to the Midwest and is currently putting together a new line up for Thunder 80. The original members have all gone on to other projects and are still making music and entertaining crowds in their respective locations.

As with MySpace's change in site format much of the old look and feel of Thunder 80's page has been lost but we will adjust to the new format and have updates for personnel and show dates as things progress. To all of our MySpace friends we thank you for your continued support and
