Vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr., aka Thomas Giles, is a heavy metal and electronic-based artist best known for his work with the metalcore band Between the Buried and Me.
Born in Morganton, North Carolina in 1980, Giles first came to prominence as a member of the progressive metal band Prayer for Cleansing, with which he performed from 1999 to 2000. After that band broke up, Giles formed Between the Buried and Me, whose albums have included the group's eponymous 2002 debut, 2003's The Silent Circus, 2005's Alaska, 2006's The Anatomy Of, 2007's Colors, 2009's The Great Misdirect, and 2012's The Parallax II: Future Sequence. Away from Between the Buried and Me, Giles has also worked on several side projects including the electronic-based Giles and the duo Jacob Rogers with musician Jacob Troth. In 2011 Giles released his debut solo album, Pulse, on Metal Blade. Three years later, he returned with his sophomore solo studio album, Modern Noise. ~ Matt Collar
