The group has been playing together for 3 years since the release of their debut CD “Nexus” in the fall of2010. Kim is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and has been influenced over the years by John Scofield, Parliament Funkadelic, Thelonious Monk, Little Feat, The Meters, Stan Getz, Chick Corea, and many, many others. These influences can be heard in the solid time and feel of the group along with strong hooks and grooves that never just “sit there”. The group believes “constant change is always the best as it reflects the way the mind isalways moving from one idea to the next, so the music is constantly moving thru changes and ideas at a very fast pace.”

The other members of the band consist of the “brothers” Rafael and Josh Carruthers on the bass and drums respectively. Both have significant playing experience in CT based Funkestra and other funk/rock/jazz based outfits. The combined experience of the trio is 30years playing live.
