The Wax Road – young band from Republic of Moldova, founded in December of 2013 by Dan Timofei (Voice & Lead guitar) and Victor Ceban (Drums), joined then by Ion Tiuticov.

Each of them being students of the same musical school. Finally, the band is ready to rock when Cristi Budac (Bass Guitar) accepts to be a part of it.

This way, on 1st December 2013, after only 3 days of rehearsals, The Wax Road performs for the first time together at the music competition in Chisinau city where they take the 1st place. Admirable is the fact that among the judges was Igor Dînga (producer of Zdob si Zdub). This performance was a powerful impulse for the young artists, so they debuts very soon with their first own songs at some small local concerts.

In the spring 2014, The Wax Road performs at ”Drum Day Ungheni” festival, organised by Iaroslav Cojocaru and drummer Pezza Boutnari. Being impressed of the band performance, in the summer of that year, Iaroslav Cojocaru decides to join and support the band, dealing with the band management and promoting.

Besides the production of new songs, The Wax Road continues to perform at many national and international concerts. Nationally they performed at ”Bostaniada” organised by JurnalTV, and many events organised by Cool Radio and Pot Music. Internationally they went to Germany, performing at ”Drum Day Hamburg” festival.

”Old style with a fresh flavor”. This way the guys from The Wax Road define their Debut Album, that will come out very soon (2016). The album will consist of 10 songs in Blues-Rock, Hard-Rock, Rock’n Roll styles and everything becomes clear when we talk about trends. They are passionate about the ’60s and ’70s music, the basic influences being such legendary bands as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, Guns’n Roses and others.
