Not to be confused with the punk-ska-"cabaret" act from Vancouver, British Columbia, Baltimore, MD's Vincent Black Shadow -- another band named after a motorcycle, indeed -- took their main musical influences from the Stooges and visual cues from that band's wild frontman, Iggy Pop.
Blending garage punk and psychedelic rock into a chaotic musical pummeling, Vincent Black Shadow attracted attention from some of the more respected indie labels, such as Poptones. Their first album, the self-titled Vincent Black Shadow, was released in 2007. In 2008, members Adam Savage, Dan Owen, Dave Litz, Dirck Ober, and Rufus Platt emerged from the studio with another slab of intense rock action with their follow-up full-length, More Deeper. ~ Chris True
