Reedy is often recognized by his distinctaccent, bringing American tones into his voice to create somethingdifferent but also commercial and enjoyable to listen to. He is alsonoted for his creative, meaningful and emotional lyrics.Reedystarted listening to rap music in 1999 when his young 10 year oldears caught a listen to Eminem’s ‘The Slim Shady LP’. Reedy wasfascinated and from here started writing his own songs. Though atfirst not writing rap songs in particular, his writing talent soonbecame apparent. It wasn’t until a year later Reedy got really intorap music, with the release of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ Reedybecame intrigued by what could be accomplished by a young whiterapper, and so began focusing his lyrics in a more hip hop direction.

AlthoughReedy had songs under his belt at such a young age he did not knowwhat to do with them. It wasn’t until 2005 he found a website thatwould allow his creative mind to build up his talent further, BrickCity. A written freestyle competition website where you battle othermembers in written verses verbally dissing each other. Reedy was amember of Brick City for one year, building up his craft and becomingone of the best known members on the website. He decided to move onfrom Brick City after he was playing around with audio. He found afree instrumental on the internet that fit well with a song he hadwritten and decided to give rapping it himself a go. He bought thecheapest microphone he could find (Logitech Desktop Mic - £10) andrecorded the song. Reedy was shocked and impressed by theresults, so much so he posted the complete song on Brick City’saudio section to get reviews from the other members. Great commentsfrom the members made Reedy decide he was more than just writing, hewas more than just written freestyles, and so packed his bags andleft Brick City to move on to making real music.

Thesong Reedy recorded was called ‘Gotta Get Her Back’ and can befound in the 'Old Music' section of Reedy’s website.

In 2005Reedy finished school and started Media Studies at college. WhileReedy enjoyed Media Studies his attention was not fixed on it, he hadambitions now of a music career and wanted to pursue that dream. In2006 coming towards the end of the Media course, Reedy, by chance, came across the recording studios in the college. While walkingpassed the studios Reedy heard a hip hop beat coming from behind oneof the doors, he decided to take a chance and knocked. A kind heartedstudent studying to be a sound engineer opened the door. Reedyexpressed who he was and complimented the beat he heard and from thisa friendship began.

Aftertalking about his ambitions and ideas, Reedy asked the student if hewould record and produce Reedy’s first album, a short EP Reedy hadbeen writing for the majority of that year. The student accepted andrecording began May 19th 2006 and finished just two weeks later. The‘Remember the Name EP’ was created, and Reedy’s passion becamethat much stronger.
