Born and Raised in Kingston, Jamaican/Canadian reggae artist Mikey Dangerous has earned his recognition as a solid, talented, multifaceted performing and recording artist. Voted number one by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Mikey won his firstJUNO Award for the hit single “Don’t Go Pretending” (MBoss Records). Mikey Dangerous continues to captivate the international music scene with his unforgettably powerful voice, unique sound and energetic performance.

Some of Mikey Dangerous’ latest releases include, “Higher Than High” (Riddimwise) which hit #1 for at least three rotations on the Reggae Vibes Hot 'n' Fresh Top 15 , and has remained at the top of the chart throughout 2013. In October of 2013 Mikey Dangerous released another single entitled “TGIF”(Dub Avenue Label) which crosses new musical boundaries and is highly anticipated to be a long-standing club classic with its crossover sound and party theme!

Dangerous’ catalogue of recordings have been featured on a variety of compilations, and independently released hit singles that have made their way around the world. Some of the titles include: “You Are So Fine” (MBoss Records), “Your Love” (WildGeese Records) , “The Only One” (Rootdown Records, Germany;

7inch 45’), “MR. MURDERAH” (MBoss Records), “Can’t Stop My Flow” featured on Poirier’s Album “Running High” (Ninjatune Records.) “Opposites Attract” (Mountain Edge Productions), “Silent Treatment” (Socalled), and many more! In addition to his own recordings Mikey Dangerous has been a guest feature in a variety of collaborations including a song with platinum selling hip hop group Dubmatique, another feature on Malicious’ album Music starts with M in “Harder”, and yet another with R&B sensation Addictive in “Little Game” also featuring artist Pitbull and hype man Kay Slay.

Some of Dangerous’earlier releases include his first single “Rasta Don’t Dwell” on 45rpm 7", (Young Lions label) The song was later released on a compilation titled after the single. The Young Lions label later released another six singles for Dangerous on 45 rpm 7" starting with “Gal Yuh a Di Wife”. His next single “Performance Drive” appeared on the Millennium Dancehall Style Vol. 1 compilation (VP Records).

Along with an impressive catalogue of recordings Mikey Dangerous has a solid and well established performance resume. He has been featured at a wide variety of shows and festivals internationally. Some of his performances include headlining the bill at the Saskatoon Reggae and World Music Festival two times, Ottawa’s Jam Day 2013 Celebration. JUNOFEST, Montreal’s Jamaica Day Celebrations,Toronto’s Jamaica Day, Hamilton’s Biggest Canada Day Celebration “It’s Your Festival”, Toronto’s Irie Fest, Montreal International Reggae Festival, the Calgary International Reggae Festival, Saskatoon International Reggae Festival, (if3.ca) International FreeSki Film Festival (for three consecutive years), Barbados Reggae Splash, Montreal International Tropical Festival, and many more. Mikey Dangerous has shared the stage with feature reggae stars such as Tony Rebel, Morgan Heritage, Tinga Stewart, Maxi Priest, Taurus Riley, Daville, Beres Hammond, Sizzla, and has toured with the hip hop act The Beatnuts, and has appeared in line-ups with hip-hop artists like Nas, Ciara, Lil Jon, YingYang Twins, and many more.

Mikey Dangerous’ music has appeared on TV shows/commercials including Canadian produced sitcom “Da kink in my hair”.
