A supergroup comprised of country music legends Waylon Jennings, Mel Tillis, Bobby Bare, and Jerry Reed, the Old Dogs were formed after Bare complained to author Shel Silverstein that there were no good songs about growing old.
Silverstein proceeded to pen an album's worth of material on the subject, with the end result forming the basis for the Old Dogs' 1998 Atlantic Records debut. ~ Jason Ankeny
