The Grenaways could be said to be mining the rich veins of inspirational ore that course through their home turf, adding a sense of their own ties to the region and especially it’s Celtic heritage.
But, they are a band set for far wider horizons than just Cornwall witha massive and alternative sound billowing through their musical sails. They arerootsy storytellers, unique in the folk style, with songs that are rich innautical undertones, influenced so much by the sea, the people and coastal living.

In the last few years it hasseen them playing some of Cornwall’s biggest festival stages alongside thelikes of The Fisherman’s Friends, Fairport Convention, 3 Daft Monkeys, StereoMC’s and the Happy Mondays.

But, remaining true to theirheart you will often find them playing in cafes, bars and folk clubs, withtheir sound and songs stripped back to how they were originally written…aguitar, a voice and a view of the ocean…

Dai Jeffries - R2 Magazine: "Once in a while something delightful and rather unexpected falls through my letterbox and this album is a case to point."

Simon Holland – Folk Radio UK: "Be Still Young Heart is arecord that brims with a spirituality, but one that has more in keeping withGaelic language songs, filled with passion, feeling and suggestion, rather thanoffering a moral A-Z roadmap of how to live your life."

Urban Kelt: "There’s a lot of lovein this album. Not only is the production excellent but it is simply animmaculate collection of songs. We at UrbanKelt are hooked! For the Grenaways, the only way is up."
