At a young age, Brian developed an ear for music and became the percussionist and one of the lead singers of the Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church choir where his grandfather, the late Rev. Joseph Wells was pastor. As the years progressed, Brian’s passion for singing grew and he later recorded and produced an independent gospel CD entitled “It Was You”.

After earning a B.S. Degree from Wilberforce University, Brian recognized his gift of precision for cosmetology and added to his credentials a Barber’s License which birthed the entrepreneur within. Putting both his degree and license to good use, Brian opened a unisex salon. His diverse professional experience afforded him the opportunity to travel with Tyler Perry not only as his barber, but as an understudy during the tour run of Tyler’s play, “Madea’s Family Reunion”. Soon to follow for Brian was the theatrical production, “Soul Holiday” starring Ann Nesby, Tamela Mann, Gary “Little G” Jenkins, Quan Howell; as well as the production “Pennies Nickels and Dimes” for which he headlined.

Brian’s pursuit of the performing arts, has led him to open for renowned gospel artists Marvin Sapp, Vickie Winan’s and J. Moss. Additionally, he’s worked with recording artists; Gary LeVox (lead vocalist for Rascal Flatts). Legendary songwriters/producers that Brian has had the pleasure of working with include; Morris Hayes (Music Director for Prince N.P.G. Band), and currently, Adonis Shropshire (award-winning songwriter and producer for great artists such as: Usher, Mariah Carey and Chris Brown). The gift that keeps on giving also include filming with leading TV personalities; Drea Kelly, Shamicka Lawrence, Mayte Garcia, Jessica Canseco, Nicole Murphy and Sheree Fletcher.

Brian received the “Distinguished Heart of the City Cultural Arts Award” from the honorable Alex Penelas (Mayor of Miami, Florida) and was featured in the July 2013 issue of Rolling Out Magazine.

Brian is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a family man who proclaims God as head of his life. Recognizing he has been blessed by the best, Brian contributes his opportunities and successes as “Favor” from God.
