When The Bat Brains began playing show in the Boston/ New Hampshire area around 1994, their brand of psychobilly wasn't generally accepted by rock-a-billy purists; saying that they were "too fast" or "too aggressive" for this genre.
Resulting in moving onto playing more in front of an audience who wouldn't ignore them, The Brain Bats started gigging up and down the East Coast with the Wretched Ones, Casualties, Blanks 77 and Patriot among other around the time Radical Records released their first full-length Curse of The Brain Bats in 1996. ~ Mike DaRonco
