The accidental collaboration of three self-described alcoholics, Israel's Tangorodrim came together between drinking binges circa 1998 to perform blasphemous black metal in the raw-boned tradition of Darkthrone, early Mayhem, and Hellhammer.
Rumored to be Russian immigrants, Mrakobes (vocals/guitar), Tangor (guitar), Darveter (bass), and Alcogolik (drums) made their recorded debut with 1999's ultra-crude Unholy Metal Way, and followed it a couple years later with Those Who Unleashed -- both released through the band's own Aggressor Productions. On the other hand, 2004's vinyl-only Unholy and Unlimited was issued by Southern Lord Recordings -- in a limited 666-piece vinyl pressing, naturally. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
