Tammy is the producer and host of the annual “Breaking The Chains” Autism Benefit, held at the Bluebird Cafe'. April 2012 marked the event's 11th anniversary. She has become a strong advocate after her younger daughter, Morgan, was diagnosed at age 3. "Autism is a life long neurological disorder that effects as many as 1 in 88 individuals according to the CDC. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to help them lead full independent lives."

The purpose of Know The Hope is two fold. First to support and strengthen families; Tammy integrates autism awareness into her music program to help families like her own adapt to the everyday challenges and joys of raising children with special needs. The program also provides awareness and guidance to others, including businesses and faith communities, on how to include families with disabilities. Secondly to give individuals with disabilities a voice; Believing everyone has something to say, and something to give, we help individuals express themselves through the art of songwriting and music.
