I am a semi-retired entertainer with a degree in Business Management and work as a General Manager for a Large National Company, but I still do 1 to 2 shows per year.

Most recent interview was with a Brazilian Magazine - see my FB Music Page.

This site is dedicated to all the people who still enjoy my music and songwriting.

Steve Valdez, a Texas native, entered the music scene in the 1980’s.

Steve accomplished much in the years he has been playing and writing music. After just three years in the business, he became one of the biggest country music attractions in south Texas, packing in dance halls and clubs with large crowds. Steve moved to Nashville where he released songs from the "Attitude and Honky Tonks" album that charted nationwide in the top ten and earned him a nomination for "Male Volcalist of the Year" by Nashville Tracker Magazine (and also a nomination for "Album of the Year". He traveled though many parts of the country performing before huge audiences and signing autographs for many hours at each venue (some photos of the autograph crowds in facebook). Although Steve’s heart is in country music, he has also shown his songwriting and vocal versatility with his most recent project with writing Spanish Country and Spanish International music. Steve exhibits tremendous energy on stage which has a strong impact on the audience. This makes Steve extremely marketable in the entertainment industry! Even during his strong reign in the country scene, Steve liked to include some Spanish country in his performances, which is a contributing factor to his tremendous success in south Texas. He has performed with such artists as George Strait, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Billy Ray Cyrus, George Jones, Clint Black, and many more famous country artists totaling well over 40 (pictures on facebook, "Steve Valdez Music Page"). He also had the honor of performing with the great Latina singer, Selena (see photo on facebook), who is still loved and her music will always live on. Steve had many influences throughout the years in the music industry with the greatest perhaps being George Strait and the Texas Country Music Legend, Country Roland.

"Hats off to all my fans who still play my music. Love to you all."

Steve
