So We Persist was started in April 2012 by Gary Dacus. So We Persist consists of veteran musicians; a new, but amazing vocalist and a young, awesome bassist!

Vocalist Dave Scott was new to the Memphis music scene when he joined So We Persist. Dave is sure to cause a stir with his unique strong, southern, and powerful vocals and his great stage presence! Chaise Elliott, the former guitarist of OBSTRUCTION OF POWER, is a great rhythm guitarist and a solid lead guitarist. Scott Griffin, former guitarist of DRAG THE WATERS is a very solid rhythm guitarist, capable of solos when needed and a showpiece on stage. Jacob Rigsby, also new to the Memphis music scene, is a very talented bassist influenced by bands like Dream Theater! Gary Dacus has been playing drums for over 25 years and has been in both cover and original bands playing straight ahead 70’s-80’s Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, as well as various types of Metal. Gary is former drummer for numerous NY based bands to include 2006 metal band SPUN, 2008-2009 Bay Area Thrash band DOXOLOGY and 2008 Rock-N-Roll cover band SEVENTH SON.
