Born and raised in Korea, Sojung came to the United States to study and first cameto prominence on Broadway, discovered by Sir. Cameron Mackintosh as the star ofthe mega hit, “Miss Saigon.” Sincethen she has starred in many musicals around the world including the role ofLorraine, the heroine in the hit European musical “Dracula.” Chosen by Disney to be the voice of “Mulan” in the movie’s Korean release, she was also invited to playthe role of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s musical spectacle “Aladdin.” She also dazzled the audiencein Korean musicals such as “Maria, Maria”,“Sword of Fire,” and most recently,she portrayed the role of “QueenSun-deok” in the musical version of the number one viewed Korean TV drama of the same title.

Also as a soloist, she has constantly appeared in concerts around the world. Most memorable are the celebratory performances for the Presidential Inaugurationand the World Cup Series as well as performances before such world figures asthe Princess of Spain, the president of the International Olympic Committee andthe Prime minister of Australia to name a few.
