The West Coast alterna-rock four-piece Slowrush is comprised of Rob Daiker (vocals/guitar), Garth Parker (guitar), Caleb Spiegel (bass), Adrian Ost (drums), and they officially came together in the mid-'90s after previous jaunts with other local bands.
Molding a sound from individual artists such as Prince, Stone Temple Pilots, Sly & the Family Stone, Bauhaus, and Bon Jovi, Slowrush was originally called Generator and independently released a self-titled debut in 1998. A sophomore effort, Fashion Brain, inked the group a deal with Epic Records shortly thereafter; however, the album's sound was revamped and newly tagged Volume to be reissued on the major label in early 2000. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
