His tracks are typically smooth, warm, and hypnotic, containing minimal yet funky melodies splashed with echo. Active as a producer and DJ since the mid-2000s, he founded Out-Er in 2011 and began releasing EPs on the label, as well as others such as Safari Numerique and Kina Music. Dutch techno veteran Orlando Voorn released Gatto's Deep Vibes EP on Night Vision in 2014, and the duo co-produced material together. Gatto's Holzwege EP, released on Out-Er in 2014, included a remix by Dutch analog electro artist Legowelt. Gatto collaborated with Haiku (Lorenzo Esposito) on Sonntagnacht, a 2015 EP released on the latter's Raw Waxes label. In 2016, Gatto's debut full-length, Detachment, was issued by Sheik 'N' Beik. ~ Paul Simpson
