Scott Parmley’s interest in music started at a young age.
He grew up listening to classical master works, inspiring him to learn both the cello and piano. He discovered early in his musical career that he enjoyed fabricating melodies, chord progressions and atonal textures while practicing the piano.

With the support of his family, he attended Kansas State University to study music composition. While attending KSU, he studied under Mr. Hanley Jackson, a former student of Darius Milhaud - one of the Groupes de Six of 20th century compositional fame. Under Mr. Jackson’s tutelage, he wrote a number of small ensemble and orchestral pieces.

Mr. Parmley currently resides with his family in the Denver metro area and remains musically active writing for a variety of different mediums.
