Saul "El Jaguar" Alarcón is a regional Mexican singer who made his solo album debut with El Katch on the Fonovisa label in 2009.
Hailing from Delicias, Chihuahua, Alarcón was the youngest of 13 children, and began singing with his family at the age of three. Alarcón was working a variety of odd jobs to help support his family when, at a party, he had the opportunity to perform with a professional singing group; having proved how strong his voice was, he started performing professionally. At 16, Alarcón joined the group Ingratos, and after scoring hits with them, in 2005 he moved on to the duo Yamili y Saúl. In 2009, Alarcón made his solo debut with El Katch, and the following year, the follow-up Sólo Contigo appeared, spawning the hit single "Mañana Te Acordarás." In late 2012, Alarcón dropped his third solo effort, Evidencias, which included the hit singles "Si Puedes Perdonarme" and the title track. In 2013, Alarcón's popularity was confirmed with the release of Le Mejor de Saul "El Jaguar" Alarcón, a collection of his best-loved material as a solo artist and in collaboration with other stars. ~ Jason Birchmeier
