A native of Arkansas, Sally Shuffield brought a varied background to bear on her career as a folk singer/songwriter, including a master's degree in anthropology and work for the environmental movement.
Based in Durango, CO, she built up a following around the U.S., releasing her debut album, Backroads of My Mind, on Fanfare Records in 1999. Ties That Bind appeared to favorable reviews on Larkspur in 2001, and in February 2006, Shuffield released her third album, Something in the Water. ~ William Ruhlmann
