I started writing years ago but went into acting instead of music, although I first performed my material whilst a drama student in London.
Really well received, it's been a serious hobby ever since, but it took a while to get to the recording stage. I released my first studio album 'After All This Time' in 2013, and I'm writing new stuff as quickly as I record material I've written previously, with over 100 still to get down. I was classically trained vocally, so I've had to get used to a mic, but it's great to be gigging at last. It's early days yet, but I've got my first festival under my belt and been featured on BBC Radio. But I'm mainly focussing on getting my material recorded for release and/or publishing.

My first career started in London where I worked as an actor for a few years. One of my first roles was at the Gate in Notting Hill, appearing alongside Toby Jones (The Hunger Games, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). I did a few 'blink and you'll miss me' TV parts and had a little more success in some short films, including 'Sniffers', which won a Raindance Film Festival award. Just as the screen roles started to come in, life took a difficult turn, and I had to put the acting career on ice and move back up north, where I started songwriting again, and circumstances recently enabled me to take it more seriously.
