Launching his career with Calle Ciega, a group that combined merengue and hip-hop, Venezuelan singer Christian Rigú was already mixing genres when he started his solo career.
Born in Puerto Ordaz, Rigú first appeared on the reality television show Estrellas de la Música before topping the Venezuelan charts with Calle Ciega. After that group broke up, he explored the music of salsa with the group ProyectoA, but he missed singing pop and left the group to go it alone. WEA Music Latina signed him as a solo artist in 2013 and released his debut album, Entre Venas, that same year. ~ David Jeffries
