One of Saskatoon’s most prominent live acts since 1987, Riff Raff’s show features classic 80’s rock anthems performed with skill, passion and fun-for-all.
Riff Raff toured across Canada during the eighties before disbanding in 1989. In March of 1999, the band was invited to reunite for a one-off fundraiser performance. After thunderous crowd response, it was obvious that Riff Raff was back for good. In 2012, the band celebrated it's 25th anniversary.
Featuring original founding members Rory Lawford (lead vocals / lead & rhythm guitar) & Brian Kendall, (lead & rhythm guitar) alongside David Denowski (bass guitar) & Kevin Sick (drums) , the band is a top draw on the best stages in Saskatchewan - including Saskatoon's Bud's on Broadway (with lineups as long as 40 minutes to get in).
In 2005, readers of Planet S Magazine, Saskatoon's popular lifestyle & entertainment publication, voted Riff Raff as one the Top 3 Best Local Bands in Saskatoon.
Over the last 10 years, Riff Raff were handpicked to perform at Credit Union Centre to perform in the Backstage Lounge for sold-out concerts by Aerosmith and Cheap Trick, Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Bryan Adams and more.
They were one of the featured headliners at the BrierPatch- the official party of the 2004 Nokia Brier, at the 2013 Memorial Cup FanFest , headlined the official wrap party of the Juno's in 2007 and headlined the 2009 IIHF Worldfest New Year's Eve Gala in front of 4,500 people.
Riff Raff have opened the show at concerts for legendary rock acts like The Sweet, Nazareth, April Wine, Harlequin, Prism, Dr. Hook and Kenny Shields & Streetheart. They also won first place at Minnedosa RockFest Battle of the Bands, earning the right to share the mainstage with such acts as Jerry Lee Lewis, Badfinger, Starship, Trooper, the Headpins and more.
With a set packed full of classic hard rock hits from the late 70's & 80's and early 90s, an explosive live show and powerful musical ability, Riff Raff is with the top of the pack for live classic rock in Western Canada.
