“I got to listen to a lot of great music growing up. Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, and of course John Denver were always playing from my dads car stereo. Its that kind of songwriting that always inspired me to write.” says Rick Kilian.“Maybe We’ll Find Love” (Slated to come out November, 2013) is Rick Kilian’s third studio album after a 5 year hiatus from writing. This album marks the return of the catchy pop melodies entwined with beautiful lyrical content that Kilian is known for creating.

Rick Kilian was born in Huntington, WV but moved around a lot at an early age. Finally settling in Keokuk, IA Kilian developed an early love of music. Playing piano came naturally to him and he was always picking things out by ear.

Moving once more when he was 14 he settled in St. Louis, MO. The move opened up many more musical doors for him, and it was during this time that he wrote and recorded his first album. “Rick and a Piano” introduced the catchy pop qualities that his fans love. Rick Kilian released his second album “Then and Now” in early 2007. This album featured newly recorded versions of the two singles from “Rick and a Piano”, “Time” and “Empty House” along with some new songs. This album displayed a more mature songwriter with stronger melodies and more intricate songs.

2013 marks the end of a writing hiatus. Rick Kilian states “I took some time off to focus on developing my skills as a performer. I wanted to pay my dues if you will…After all is said and done I’m really glad I did, I hated keeping my fans waiting but I believe the album [Maybe We'll Find Love] is a lot stronger for it.”
