Born Hiresh Haridas in Melaka, Malaysia in May of 1976, Reshmonu was a popular singer and songwriter who was known for a string of hit singles in the early years of the 21st century.
His first album, Monumental, was released in 2003, and earned him seven nominations and three awards at the following year's Malaysian Music Industry Awards. The popularity of his independent debut led to a re-release and a deal with Sony, which put out an expanded version of Monumental (subtitled "The Journey Continues") in 2005. In 2007, Reshmonu returned to the CD racks in Asia with his second album, Superfine. This time around, Reshmonu was part of the Universal Records family. ~ Chris True
