New York-born Reina ("Queen" in Spanish) began singing mostly inspired by her mother who used to perform at a young age.
After participating in the musical Fame with a song called "Out Here on My Own," Reina decided to become seriously involved in pop music. That opportunity came while working as a backup singer for contemporary rhythm & blues diva Deborah Cox and dance music artist Corina. Reina's debut single, "Find Another Woman," produced by Hex Hector, climbed to number two on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and achieved a nomination at the Winter Dance Music Conference in Miami. "Anything for Love" followed soon after. ~ Drago Bonacich
