The son of a traveling Pentecostal minister, singer/songwriter Regie Hamm began playing music as the drummer in his father's backing band.
Finding he could no longer deal with life on the road, Hamm left home to study music at a junior college in Cleveland, TN. After leaving college, his songwriting endeavors began to pay off and the following years would see his music being recorded by the likes of Kenny Loggins, Bob Carlisle, Maxi Priest, and Jaci Velasquez. All the while, Hamm continued honing his performance abilities, and after several failed attempts to start a recording career with a band, Hamm decided to try his luck as a solo artist in the early '90s. He released his debut solo CD, American Dreams, in 2003. ~ Matt Collar
