Radius Kink – Gary Hendrikse and Greg Douglas
Ostensibly a marriage of two different musical backgrounds, both roads well-travelled and destinations not arrived at easily.

Rooted in music as far back as the fifties and sixties; this original recording team has survived numerous incarnations and aggressive personalities to emerge richer and more mature for the journey.

Their material is an intelligent blending of Hendrikse's open string discordant acoustic rhythm guitar style - with Douglas' reflective melodic basslines and complex vocal harmony scores.

The result is moody, lyrically brilliant and leaves the listener with a sense of musical déjà vu, as if this new sound still fits like comfortable slippers. The ride takes in Bowie, Dylan, Knopfler, Waters & Gilmour; and even smatterings of Led Zeppelin.

The musical history of this team spans the last three decades off and on. Their current collaboration is stronger and tighter than ever. They are currently halfway through the production of their first joint album “Long Live the Kink,” and already have the second album well on its way too.

“LLTK” features a majority of songs about individuals from the music world, cinema and even infamous historical figures. It questions deeply the price of fame from many different angles.
