, the "Live Music Capital of the World". Hip Hop has been a major part of his life since high school and a dream he has never lost sight of. He has shared both the stage and the airwaves with many Hip Hop legends like LL Cool J, Bone Thugz, RUN-DMC, and Ludacris to name a few. Husband and father of four beautiful girls, D-Russ was on the road to success having secured TV spots (the Living Room, Fox pilot) and opening gigs for major artists such as Shaggy, his music career took an unfortunate detour in 2002 when his second daughter was born with cerebal palsy. Putting family needs first, D-Russ made the decision to put music on hold so he could care for his daughter while he and his wife figured out how they would pay for the round-the-clock care and piling medical expenses.During his time away from the stage, Darrell developed his production skills under the tutelage of his brother in law, Mr. Torrance which led to crafting backdrops for several up and coming artists from Texas to California. When his production became a commodity he formed Pot Belli Music with the intent to keep sharing his music with the world.

Now, 11 years later, with a renewed passion, drive and direction, he has once again returned to his first love. Still knee deep in life, D is back to expressing how he sees things through his most reliable outlet, the pen and pad. His music is a real life testimonial, and the manifestation of spiritual warfare.
