Chicago native, Monica Handy is the creator/publisher of COOTW E Magazine, a play-wright, and an author.

In 2014, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Sacred Literature for contributions of inspirational Christian literature to the community.



She was interviewed by:

In 2012, Monica asked Dr. Joseph B. Howard Sr. for permission to establish his award winning novel, "Battered Clergy From Victim To Victor", as a stage-¬play. Upon his blessing the play, (under the direction of Alvin Daniels/Halsted Media Works) debuted in Chicago in June, 2015 to a sold-¬out venue!

From 2015-2016, the author penned three titles: The Meanderings of Ruby Stewart which is undergoing critical reviews and scheduled for several social media promotions and HOW TO KILL A LIE, the fast-paced mystery-thriller which is the sequel to, AND THE MIRROR CRACKED.

To date, Dr. Handy is busy rewriting her first title, Revelations of a Promise (ROAP) which will be re-released as Chronicles of a Well Woman-The Bliss Fix- a book filled with inspiration, humor and wisdom for women; A short story entitled, Sex Is Where It Always Starts, and last but not least a contribution to a collaborative work, entitled: Through The Darkness, Stories of Hope.

Dr. Handy has four grown children, two grandchildren, two daughters in law, and one son in law, to be. Her future endeavors include adapting her books into film and writing for television.
