Petr Jakeš se narodil v roce 1982 ve Zlíně. V 6 letech začal hrát na housle a ve 12 letech na kytaru. Kytaru studoval nejprve soukromě, později na Ježkově konzervatoři v Praze. Strávil semestr na hudebním oddělení University of New Orleans v USA, kde studoval hudbu u předních neworleánských jazzových hudebníků. Byl členem doprovodné skupiny zpěvačky Ilony Csákové. Spolupracoval s orchestrem Městského divadla Brno, s kapelami nejrůznějších žánrů a vystupoval také s DJs brněnské scény. Absolvoval bakalářské studium muzikologie a magisterské studium managementu v kultuře na Masarykově univerzitě v Brně. V současnosti pracuje jako kytarista u společnosti Royal Caribbean International.

Petr Jakeš was born in Zlín in 1982. He started to play on the violin at the age of 6 and the guitar when he was 12. He has studied guitar at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. He has spent a semester at the Music Department of the University of New Orleans, where he has studied music by great musicians of New Orleans ` jazz scene. He has been a member of backing band for Czech singer Ilona Csáková. He has played in musical shows in Brno City Theatre and he has also performed with DJs of Brno`s club scene. He received a bachelor's degree in musicology and a master's degree in culture management from the Masaryk University in Brno,Czech Republic. Between 2012 and 2015 he was working as guitar player for Royal Caribbean International.
