On jazz vocals, electric guitar and bass the Perrine Duo performs in a variety of songs from Thelonious Monk’s “Round Midnight” to soft ballads such as “My Romance” by Erroll Louis Garner. They also perform bossa nova tunes by Jobim and Astrud Gilberto. Their performance remains faithful to the traditional mode and feel of the songs which brings a sense of peace and tranquility.

Blue (Lue Perrine) is a San Jose State University Music graduate from the school of Jazz. She has studied privately with jazz greats such as Matthew Brubeck, Nate Pruitt and broadway musical performer, Baomi Butts Bhenji. Blue began her professional music career in the 1990’s shortly after graduating from college. She has performed in a broad variety of music venues throughout the greater San Francisco bay area. Blue is married to a professional musician and recording artist, John Perrine who accompanies her on bass forming their jazz duet. They are also available to perform with a trio or quartet if requested.

John Perrine considers himself very fortunate to have played music over the years with so many musicians. Not only is he skilled on the electric bass but has played drums professionally with some of the greats in the music industry for over 30 years.

Playing various music styles on over a dozen C.D.'s as both a band member and session player with artists such as; Saint, Kelly Keeling, Jasun Tipton, Sinister Sam, and many other great players, John continues to enjoy playing mostly jazz music live.
