He is a graduate of Towson University, where he received a degree in Music Education (Cum Laude). During his time at Towson he won the C.James Velie Memorial Scholarship as well as second prize in the James L. Dunbar, Jr. Memorial Scholarship competition. At Towson, Kisicki studied classical guitar with Michael Decker, participated in guitar ensembles under the direction of guitarist Troy King, and performed in master classes with Manuel Barrueco and Roland Dyens. In addition to his time at Towson University, Kisicki has studied guitar and music theory with Grammy nominated composer and guitarist Larry Hoffman, as well as voice lessons with vocal teacher Carol Westcott. Always up for learning, Kisicki is currently exploring jazz guitar with Carl Filipiak.

Kisicki has played in numerous bands, most notably The TableTop Poets, an indie-rock band he co-founded. Providing his own subtle touch to the role of lead guitarist, Kisicki toured the Mid-Atlantic region, playing at such distinguished venues as the 8x10, the Recher Theater, Iota (VA), the Baggot Inn (NYC), and The Lions Den (NYC). He has also contributed his playing extensively to fellow regional singer/songwriters in the studio and other endeavors, and composed a book of short pieces for the classical guitar titled, Like Two Blue Moons, These Eyes Shine. Presently, Kisicki is putting together a new original act with long-time collaboratorJerry Wade, called Echo Company.

With the majority of his time being spent as an educator, Kisicki teaches at two different schools. During the day, he can be found at West Middle School where he teaches guitar and general music classes. In the evening, Kisicki stays busy as part of the adjunct music faculty at Carroll Community College, where he teaches private guitar lessons, an online version of the history of rock n’roll, directs the guitar and rock n’ roll ensembles, and serves as coordinatorfor the guitar department. Occasionally, he also works as a music director for the college, as was the case when the school did a production of the Broadway musical Rent in 2011. Kisicki received high marks for his musical direction in the show.

When he is not working on music, Kisicki enjoys donating his time to help others. In the past, he has worked with the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, where he organized and directed the semi-annual fundraiser Kevin’s Concert-an event conceived by Kisicki to raise funds and awareness about organ donation. For his work with the Foundation, he was named Volunteer of the Year in 2009 by The NKF of Maryland.
