Paradox AKA Pablo$$Dinero was born Juan P. Cortez in Aguascaliente, Mexico, and raised in Long Beach, CA since the age of 5.
His talent for putting words together came during his high school years in 2006, where he would spend most of his time during class writing rhymes and hooks to different instrumentals he would pick up from his favorite artists (The Diplomats, The Lox, etc.) and freestyles for his classmates to hear during lunch time or after school. Once he built a buzz in high school through his peers, he then battled on a daily basis with other school friends who set out to do the same. After winning battles, he met a group of other artists (4 Tre Hustlaz) and became part of the group, which later on put out 2 group mixtapes that featured mostly Paradox on the track list. As time went, Paradox strives to become the best and built his networking through MySpace and other social networks to show the world what he has to bring to the table, and that's a Latino rapper with a unique word play, that sounds street smart, has go getta ambitions, hustlers stories, and life experiences. He then linked up with the DipSet West when he joined Omar "IceMan" Shariff (IMMG) and took part of 2 group albums (Behind Enemy Lines, Red October) which became available on iTunes for the world to hear. After a few months later, he then went solo and started doing everything independently from music, to engineering half of his work, shooting music videos with old high school friends & helping other artists put their work out by colabing in different songs of his mixtapes. Paradox put out 3 FREE mixtapes (1000 Bars, Beast From The East, Its About Time) which are available for free on HotNewHipHop ever since then, and is currently working on 2 more FREE mixtapes and a album which is set to release early 2014. Paradox is determined to set his mark in hip hop history, and dedicated most of his time to his family and music, with a strong belief that one day, he will be on top where he is destined. You can check out more of his work on FaceBook, YouTube, HotNewHipHop, DatPiff & of course, here, SoundCloud. Take some time & go through the playlist, there's a song for everyone to relate to.
