The indie rock band Paper Airplanes were formed in Wichita, KS, by singer/guitarist Marcus Stoesz, drummer Nathan Wilder, and bassist Anthony Piazza.
In concert, they were augmented by Les Easterby, Jeff Vidricksen, and Spliff Phillips. Their debut album, Boyhood, was released by the tiny Mayhaps label in 2006. The 54°40' or Fight! label gave it a national release on March 20, 2007. ~ William Ruhlmann
