They first met in 2007 through a program at a Winnipeg music store, and even though they were randomly grouped together and only 15-16 years old, the chemistry was immediate.

Panicland springs from the same deadening suburban landscape that has produced so many exciting new bands who refuse to fit into a simple category. Check out their list of influences:

It’s a pretty diverse palette and their songwriting - which is far more accomplished than their ages would suggest - reflects it. Rock, hip-hop, indie, R&B collide in a beautiful mess of pop insanity.

Panicland’s success in local contests, including TJ’s Gift, attracted the attention of Glen Willows of BCM Management (Inward Eye, Remy Shand, Ash Koley) and producer Greig Nori (Sum 41, Marianas Trench, Hedley) who has agreed to record their first full length. The future holds 100's of shows, more (and more) songwriting, not to mention lots of life experience. But based on what they've already accomplished, Panicland has the beginnings of a long and promising recording career and killer live show.
