Chilean punk rock act Orgasmo was inspired by the Clash, the Sex Pistols, and the Ramones.
The band was formed in 1983 by bassist Gustavo Gurrieri, drummer Miguel Serrano, singer Víctor Trabucco, and guitarist Sean Bratt. Orgasmo started playing while its members were regular students at Santiago de Chile's Nido de Aguilas School. Due to its particular name, the band was sometimes censored, causing Orgasmo to play under the name of Censurado, or the Slam. Orgasmo's first live performance took place in 1984 at its members school. In 1987, the band gave an interview while participating in a televised music contest called Generación Actual, which was later released as an album by EMI. Through the years, Orgasmo played with different musicians such as guitarist David Bitner, keyboardist Javier Elizalde, and guitarist Eduardo Parra. The band released The Final Drip...+ in 1999, followed by a compilation called Antropología and 2000's Sacudiendonos el Polvo. ~ Drago Bonacich
