Breathing some life into the dormant college rock sound of the mid-to-late 80's, Oddbox plays warm and amiable pop that revolves around the endearing voice of Mike Grebb.
A lovable loser in the tradition of Gordon Gano, Grebb and bassist Skip Daly formed the band in 1999 out of the ashes of their previous trio. When they met drummer David Mason and guitarist Ian Maynard, the lineup was solidified and the band began to play the New England area regularly. A 2000 demo caught the attention of Edgimo Records, who released their debut Stray From Logic in the fall of 2002. Produced by Basehead-collaborator Marco Delmar, the album introduced their jangly sound and fat-free songwriting approach. ~ Bradley Torreano
