Spawned at the turn of the century, Nutsack were the conception of country and punk bands that were sick of society being too serious, and politics being too influential on personal freedom and the influx and death of small town coastal living.
With true Aussie spirit they were not prepared to sit back and watch our government destroy the surfie south west coast way of life, or let big business “sea-change” infest their carefree culture, so they wrote tongue in cheek songs to compensate anger. Over four albums later and a revamp, Nutsack still spread the good word of, drink, live hard, hang shit and enjoy life to the fullest, no matter what. They set political correctness on fire, and piss on it to put it out. With band members from Apollo Bay and Barwon Heads, these lads have a cult following, despite there blatant boycott of big city gigging, in fact it has become part of their stigma and legend. They draw their musical inspiration from the likes of Turbonegro, the Dwarves, Nashville Pussy, T.I.S.M and have been described as a sister band to other Australian pub rock legends such the Cosmic Psychos or Painters and Dockers
