Norwegian composer Nils Johan Ødegaard studied classical composition and composition for films and games with composer Bjørn Sverre Kristensen between 2009 and 2012, and then film music composition at the University of Lillehammer in 2012/2013, under the direction of professor and composer Halldor Krogh.
Ødegaard is also a guitarist with a Bachelor degree in music teaching and studies in drama and Norwegian film history.He has composed music for a handful of documentaries, a computer game, and various pieces for chamber ensembles and orchestra. Currently he is writing music for upcoming documentary movies.
Credits includes the documentaries “Another Reality” (2013 - opening sequence), “Jenta fra Iran” (2012), “The Rise” (2012 - a documentary about the rock band Casa Murilo), and “Project Viking” (2012 - game music).
