Nikos Spanatis made his debut in The Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens and Epidaurus Festival 2003.He has appeared as a soloist in Basilica of Saint Marcus' Cathedral in Venice, the Junge Hunde International Festival Entrescenen in Denmark, the Onassis Cultural Centre, the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, the 6th Aegina International Music Festival, the Opera festival of Ancient Corinth 2006, the Christmas Early Music Festival in Goethe Institute of Athens, the Renaissance Festival in Rethymnon, the Music TONes in Beton 7, the Music Festival for the 15 years of the Department of Music Studies of Ionian University. He has performed as Carpoforos and Messenger "Erofili" by N. Mamagkakis, Sorceress "Dido and Aeneas" by Purcell, Marcellien -Twin Brother "Le martyre de Saint Sébastien" by Cl. Debussy, Pisandro "Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria" by Cl. Monteverdi, Nireno "Giulio Cesare" by G. F. Händel. He has been an active member of the Opera Studio of the Greek National Opera since 2010 and he has performed Ascanio (Ascanio in Alba, Mozart), Oberon (Midsummer Night's Dream, Britten), Baba the Turk (The Rake's Progress, Stravinsky). As a soloist, he has appeared with Camerata Orchestra, ERT National Symphonic Orchestra & Choir, Orchestra of Colours, «Monteverdi» orchestral ensemble, Ionian Brass Ensemble, Baroque Ensemble Sinfonia, Lyrae Cantus, Orchestra of Patras, Orchestra and Choir of Corfu, the Baroque Orchestra and Choir of Ionian University. He has attended Master Classes led by Michael Chance, Jeanette Pilou, Daphne Evangelatou, Rachel Yakar, Peter Seymour. He was born in Frankfurt. He studied with the soprano Mata Katsuli in Philipos Nakas Concervatory and was awarded the Diploma in Classical Solo Singing with Distinction and 1st Prize. He is currently studying with Aris Christofellis. He holds a University Degree from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University (supervising professor: soprano Rosa Poulimenou. He is currently doing PhD research on Händel's operas. He has sung works by Greek composers Dimitris Papadimitriou, Dimitris Maragopoulos, appears frequently in art projects in Greece and in other European Countries (Amsterdam, Stuttgard, Madrid), and also has made recordings for the Greek Classical - Third Program. He has also recorded G. F. Händel's Giulio Cesare as Nireno under George Petrou (by MDG, Germany) and Nikos Mamagakis's Erofili as Carpoforos and Mesenger and Shadow Opera as Morfonios (for IDAIA, Greece). He is artistic director at the National Concervatory in Ymittos.

Νίκος Σπανάτης, κόντρα τενόρος

Ο Νίκος Σπανάτης έχει εμφανιστεί ως σολίστ στο Ηρώδειο, στην Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών και Θεσσαλονίκης, στη Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών, καθώς και στο εξωτερικό στο Διεθνές φεστιβάλ NY Scenekunst Junge Hunde της Δανίας, στην Βασιλική του Αγίου Μάρκου στην Βενετία καθώς και σε πόλεις της Ευρώπης συμμετέχοντας σε Art Projects, προσωπικά ρεσιτάλ με καταξιωμένους πιανίστες (Lily Maisky, Κάρολο Ζουγανέλη) και σε συναυλίες μουσικής δωματίου. Έχει συμπράξει με την Καμεράτα, την Κρατική Ορχήστρα, την Ορχήστρα των Χρωμάτων, τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα της ΕΡΤ, την Ορχήστρα Πατρών, με τα σημαντικότερα σύνολα μπαρόκ μουσικής στην Ελλάδα. Γεννήθηκε στην Φρανκφούρτη. Έχει μελετήσει τραγούδι με τον Άρη Χριστοφέλλη, την Ρόζα Πουλημένου στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου, και την Μάτα Κατσούλη στο Ωδείο Φ. Νάκας, με Δίπλωμα Άριστα παμψηφεί και Ά βραβείο. Έχει ερμηνεύσει έργα του Δημήτρη Παπαδημητρίου, του Δημήτρη Μαραγκόπουλου και του Νίκου Μαμαγκάκη και έχει ηχογραφήσει για το Τρίτο Πρόγραμμα και για τις δισκογραφικές εταιρίες ΙΔΑΙΑ και MDG. Είναι Υποψήφιος Διδάκτορας του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου και Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής του Εθνικού Ωδείου Παραρτήματος Υμηττού.
