To produce extreme metal that is unique and creative; complex, yet prone to enticing the banging of one's head.

Nescient formed in early 2011 by a group of young musicians on the Gold Coast, determined to create something fresh and tasty to serve up to the Australian metal scene.

An eclectic group, with wide musical tastes and influences, Nescient’s music draws on inspiration from all across the metal spectrum, as well as other styles like the blues, jazz and progressive/fusion.

The resulting sound becomes a melting pot of various musical forms that meld together seamlessly to create a uniquely brutal aural experience.

After struggling for years to find permanent members, the band solidified their line-up and went on to finish tracking their debut EP in May 2014. The self-titled record was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Dylan Janssen.

Since it’s release, Nescient have been gigging hard around SE Queensland and Northern NSW in support of the EP, with plans to spread their music Nation-wide in 2015.
